Formidable Liquorice

Formidable Liquorice is an experimental lofi project spearheaded by JP Meldrum and featured players.. The name derives from a marijuana-induced noise demo entitled "Formidable Liquorice". The music is eclectic, abrasive, spastic, low-fidelity, and often unwritten. Frequent collaborators include Liam Crocker, Benjamin Sloat, and Luc Nadeau.

  • Monkeyboy April 2014 - Fuccboi/Independant

    Monkeyboy is the 1st Formidable Liquorice album, but stands as a proof-of-concept. A collection of recorded jams and demos from November 2013 til March 2014, reduced, compiled, and given a cover. All tracks were recorded in JP's kitchen/living room, Benjamin Sloat, Liam Crocker's bedrooms. Devices used to record include an iPod touch, a Sony Xperia, ZOOM portable recorder, and the bulit in mic on an Acer laptop.
